My only dissapointment :-(

Whilst i did find Paradise in Long Beach (along with Julie the cruise director with a bad eighties perm alas no photo of that) my only disappointment was not finding the spruce goose.

Apparently whilst it was once housed in the dome above (next to the Queen Mary Hotel in the middle of the Long Beach Port area) - though I told it didn't do too well as a tourist attraction, it was sold off and it is now found in Portland, Oregon.

Flaggers !!! (What not to do or say )

Americans struggle with our language - its only fair that I struggle with theirs too !!! I was quickly corrected on my mistake of calling these people flag wavers - the correct term people is "Flaggers"

It's not really my kind of thing - but a great example of the great diversity on display at this festival.

One of the few people i knew from the Long Beach area is John (in the green t-shirt) from the OC the place as opposed to the tv show - I had met him out while he was travelling in Sydney a little while ago.

He came along to the festival too with his best mate Ross and a whole lot of their friends from LA, Long Beach, the OC and San Diego.

Mojito's Anyone ?

And it wasn't too difficult to get a drink either (Sydney festivals could learn a lot from here !!!)
